You’re The Star

Sitting on the front porch, on the swing

Write a happy song that the world can sing

And it don’t matter who you are

If this is life then you’re the star

When you were young, you use to dream

You’d close your eyes and make believe

Tell me now can you still see?

You’re everything that you want to be

I know this girl she’s so beautiful

She lights the room up and my soul

So many things that I want to say

Turn the song up, let the music play

Sitting on the front porch, on the swing

Write a happy song that the world can sing

And it don’t matter who you are

If this is life then you’re the star
