An Evening

Here I sit in this melting shell of an evening

Wrapped in dressings of dismay

It’s cold and windy and dark outside

And of course it rained all day

I’d like to kick the dust off my boots

But I’m only wearing shoes

Pleased with the company that I keep

But now we’re out of booze
